[Day13_20250821] Granville Island

Suddenly, I wanted to go to Granville Island at 3:15PM.
Granville Island is one of famous sightseeing place in Vancouver.
“I have not been to the Granville Island. Let’s go there!!”
I got on an Expo Line train at the Waterfront Station, and I got off the Granville Station.

Way to the Granville Island

I started to walk to the road to Granville Island.
There are many restaurants, cafes, shops and skyscraper like buildings,
so it is very similer to the Vancouver City Centre area.

Suddenly, I found myself on a place like a highway.
“This load leads to the Granville Island!” I got excited.

I saw this view from the Granville Street Bridge.
“Oh! It is Granville Island!! But How do I get to the shop area?”
I believed “Maybe follow the road and I will get there”.
Following the road down the bridge, I saw this sculpture.
I don’t understand the mean – why is this 100? what’s number?

There are some bar and restaurant near the Granville Island.
“Who drink beer before 5:00PM?”
I wanted to drink not cold beer but cold water or tea.

Granville Island

After 30 minutes, finally I arrived under the bridge.
I saw the Granville Island sign, I felt happy and relieved.
” I saw same view at the English school! I did it!!”
※Some students visited here as a school activity.

A Granville Island sign.
It is interesting for me because it is rare that sightseeing place is under a bridge.
The Burrard Bridge. This bridge was used as a postcard.
I saw a “Fishermen’s Wharf” sign.
A fisherman’s wharf is in Kushiro City, Hokkaido.
It is different from Granville Island one.
